BBC Breakfast's Drumathon
BBC weather presenter, Owain Wyn Evans, has completed a 24-hour drumming challenge raising more than £2.5 million for BBC Children in Need!
The challenge involved Owain drumming non-stop throughout the day and night live from dock10 studios. It also featured a special ‘Big Bang’ moment on Friday evening with a performance of the BBC News theme featuring an ensemble of 50 drummers in a rousing performance which included, among others, world renowned percussionist, Dame Evelyn Glennie, Pulp's Nick Banks, Cherisse Osei from Simple Minds, Steve White from Style Council and Frank Benbini of Fun Lovin' Criminals as well as Pub Landlord Al Murray, actor John Thomson and amateur drummers and enthusiasts aged from 8 to 83.
