dock10 was proud to welcome members of the TikTok supported Creativity Project on their recent visit to Media City. The 16–24-year-olds, all exploring jobs within the creative industry, spent time at the Reporters Academy and dock10. Highlights of their visit included speaking with BBC Sport director Graham Bennett and hanging out with CBeebies celebrities Hacker and Dodge!
The Creativity Project, in partnership with TikTok and Catch22, provides young people with industry insight into the creative sector along with access to creative professionals. These share their experiences and teach young people how to get started in the creative world, including how to build a portfolio, how to write a creative CV and how to interview for industry positions. Creative location visits like that to Media City are a fantastic opportunity for young people to not only learn creative skills in a professional environment but also to go behind the scenes and gain real life industry insights.
dock10 is delighted to support the Creativity Project in its goal to support over 2,500 young people who are not in education, employment or training to get closer to a creative job by 2024.
