dock10 pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

It is with deep sadness that we learn of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. During her amazing 70 year reign The Queen was an inspirational leader for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

The Queen officially opened dock10 in March 2012. Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh were given a tour of dock10's facility by Mark Thompson, the then director general of the BBC, and John Whittaker, the chairman of The Peel Group.

In 2021, on the tenth anniversary of our official opening, dock10 received a kind message from Buckingham Palace. The message said: "Her Majesty was pleased to be reminded of her visit to Media City with The Duke of Edinburgh and was interested to learn of the work undertaken by your television studios in the past decade and of your tree-planting initiative to help the environment. The Queen sends her best wishes to all concerned on this milestone in the history of dock10."

We are thankful for the Queen's interest in dock10 and have very fond memories of the time Her Majesty spent with us. On behalf of everyone at dock10, we send our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Royal family at this sad time.
