DOCK10 WELCOMES THE REPORTER'S ACADEMY AND THE PRINCE'S TRUST

dock10 was delighted to welcome the Reporter's Academy and The Prince's Trust back to their facilities as they gave local students aged 16-25 a valuable glimpse behind the scenes of television production. The two-week free course saw 15 participants from Greater Manchester explore the range of careers available in television, being given valuable insights into the inner workings of TV production.

Numerous industry experts shared their tips and personal experiences as they taught the students a broad range of practical skills across script writing, camera work, lighting, and video editing. Armed with their hands-on training, the students used their new skills to make and showcase their own mini-TV package at dock10.

Experts Becci Dyson and Chris Walker support the students as they filmed their title sequence. Nsofwa K. Nwannadi and Danielle Hayden gave an inspiring talk on interviewing and ideas generation. And there was more great advice from special guests Lauren Burnett and presenter Nina Blissett.
