November 2012
RDF Television starts production of a new, prime-time BBC entertainment show called Britain’s Brightest with dock10 at MediaCityUK this November.
Hosted by Clare Balding and Steve Mould, the show features contestants who will battle it out using brains not brawn in a series of knockout tournaments, testing everything from emotional intelligence to thought processing speed.
Britain’s Brightest will be filmed in dock10’s largest studio, HQ1. The 12,500 sq. ft. facility is one of the largest purpose built HD studios in Europe with a history of hosting large and complex productions.
The show finishes recording in December, and the series is set to air on BBC1 in early 2013.
Mark Senior, CEO, dock10 commented; "It’s a real coup for dock10 to have RDF TV and Clare Balding in the studios, with a prime-time Saturday night entertainment show for BBC One. The next few weeks in HQ1 are sure to be entertaining, and we are all very excited by Britain’s Brightest, which we believe is the kind of high profile production which fits with MediaCityUK."
