The Governor of the Bank of England visits dock10

Andrew Bailey, the Governor of the Bank of England, visited dock10 at Media City in Greater Manchester on Wednesday 19th April. The Governor spent time at the UK's leading television facility as part of his tour of organisations in the North West. At dock10, Mr Bailey met with a number of the company's senior business leaders and was given a comprehensive tour of the facility, looking at the latest television technologies. This included the UK's largest multicamera television studio and dock10's virtual studios, visiting many of the high-tech sets developed and used to make some of the nation's most popular programmes from Match of the Day to Blue Peter.

Andrew Bailey was appointed Governor of the Bank of England in March 2020, and his tour of dock 10 follows that of his predecessor, Sir Mervyn King, in 2013. Following this latest visit, the Bank of England posted this comment on social media: "Many thanks to dock10 for hosting the Governor on Wed 19 April as part of his visit to the North West. An insightful visit to the impressive television facility where some of the nation's best loved programmes are made".
